is Ten Tors South Dartmoor style! Cycle to ten Dartmoor tours, climb
to the top of each, find a Dartmoor letterbox whenever you can and get a
certificate to prove you did it all! The route isn't long, but the
moorland air and all that excitement will leave you feeling tired when you
get home.Route takes you through Bickington to Haytor
and Bonehill. There'll be a cafe stop at Widecombe before the last tor
near the spectacular Doctor Blackall's drive. Don't miss this

Weekend trips make an ideal short
holiday to give you a really good break from your usual routine. Golant
hostel is a large country house overlooking the Fowey estuary around 30
miles from Plymouth. We’ll be taking train or car to Saltash and then
riding along the south coast through the picturesque village of Looe on the
Saturday, crossing on at least one ferry. On Sunday we’ll return via an
inland route.

Postbridge, and is the closest youth hostel to us. There's an open
fire and a games room, and plenty of fun to be had exploring the nearby
river and forest.
If the weather is good we'll ride up
from Buckfastleigh, leaving at around 2.15, and ride back via Widecombe on
the Sunday, but if it's wet we'll use the car for part or all of the journey
and ride on Sunday if it's dryer then. Be sure to book your place as
early as possible, as this is the last weekend trip we will be doing this
year. |

setting out on a lengthy track adventure from Combestone Tor, down over the

prepare you for the big climb of Dartmeet Hill and the descent of the

is our annual excursion to the luxurious Ilsington Country Hotel, a huge
country house set in its own magnificent grounds. We plan to ride up
to the hotel via Bickington, but if the weather is bad we will be using car
assistance. You'll have opportunity to use the hotel's private indoor
swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room before the meal. We'll be
giving out certificates and prizes after the meal, and when you've enjooyed
coffee by the log fire we'll be heading homewards, a journey that is mainly
downhill. It's important to book your place early for this event, so

Weekend trips make an ideal short
holiday to give you a really good break from your usual routine. Golant
hostel is a large country house overlooking the Fowey estuary around 30
miles from Plymouth. We’ll be taking train or car to Seaton and then
riding along the south coast through the picturesque village of Looe on the
Saturday, crossing on at least one ferry. On Sunday we’ll return via an
inland route.

the effort when you are speeding down across moorland tracks to the ford at

the huge success of our car-assisted ride to Exeter Ship Canal in November
we've organised another full-day adventure to the many woodland tracks near
Fingle Bridge. We'll be taking the cars to Steps Bridge and then

Our first tour of 2007 takes place over the Easter bank
holiday weekend. The tour starts with two days of the flattest easiest
riding you’ll ever do, on the Somerset Levels, and finishes with some
spectacular tracks over the Quantock hills. There will be a chance to look
around Wooky Hole caves or Cheddar caves, stay in some very interesting
youth hostels, learn how willow is used to make chairs, enjoy two train

main summer youth hostel weekend is to the north Cornwall coast. The
hostel at Tintagel is dug into the cliff in a secluded location with
stunning views to the sea. The nearby medieval castle offers evening
fun, there is plenty of good riding to be had on the Saturday and the
Sunday. There are only 10 spaces in all for this weekend, so it's
really important to book early if you want to be sure of your place. |

is our annual excursion to the luxurious Ilsington Country Hotel, a huge
country house set in its own magnificent grounds. We plan to ride up
to the hotel via Bickington, but if the weather is bad we will be using car
assistance. You'll have opportunity to use the hotel's private indoor
swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room before the meal. We'll be
giving out certificates and prizes after the meal, and when you've enjooyed
coffee by the log fire we'll be heading homewards, a journey that is mainly
downhill. It's important to book your place early for this event, so

best cinema in the area - Vue multiscreen at Plymouth. The film will
be the Iron Man ‘Iron Man’ is the latest big screen adaptation from Marvel
Comics, the action-packed story of enigmatic industrialist Tony Stark
(Robert Downey Jr.), who invents a robotic suit of armour in order to battle
against the forces of evil and in doing so, discovers a conspiracy that
could destabilize the entire globe. Gwyneth Paltrow co-stars as his
secretary, Virginia ‘Pepper’ Potts, while Terrence Howard fills the role of
Jim Rhodes, one of Stark's colleagues, whose military background leads him
to help in the formation of the suit. It’s directed by Jon Favreau who
gave us the monster family hits ‘Elf’ and ‘Zathura’. |

Plym Valley Cycleway follows the course of the old railway line from
Plympton all the way up the valley to Clearbrook. There are some
impressive viaducts along the way, and if we have time we'll climb the hill
at the end of the line to the scenic Burrator reservoir. This is our
last ride for 2007 so we'll do our best to make it extra special - but
remember to book early! |
